ABOUT TIM
Tim Burkhart has over 40 years of experience with Six Flags and has held supervisory and management positions in all aspects of theme and water park operations. He most recently held the position of Corporate Vice President- Maintenance and Construction and oversaw the Maintenance and Construction functions for all 26 Six Flags parks in North America.
In addition to his North American park responsibilities, Tim was a senior executive on the International Development team, charged with the development and design of new internationally licensed Six Flags Parks. He has worked on multiple international theme and water parks in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, China, and Mexico.
Tim is a graduate of Wm. S. Hart High School in Newhall Ca., attended College of the Canyons, and graduated from California State University, Northridge. He holds Bachelors’ and Masters’ Degrees, as well as numerous technical certifications.
Tim lives in the City of Santa Clarita with his wife Debbie. He is an avid cyclist and a board member of the Santa Clarita Valley Trail Users, volunteering regularly to build and maintain trail networks in the City Open Spaces. Additionally, he sits on the executive board of the Valley Industry Association and a Director on the Board of Friends of Hart Park and Museum. He has served as President of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, Executive Board Member of the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation, as well as serving as Chair and on boards of numerous community nonprofits. He also has served over twenty years as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Santa Clarita where he is currently the Chair.

Santa Clarita is a one of the most desirable places to live in LA County. I will work to bring more good paying jobs in diverse economic sectors so that those that work here can afford to live here. Through partnerships and strategic planning, we can provide security for the next generation to enjoy Santa Clarita, as we all have.

As one of the most populous cities in LA County, we need to prepare continued growth while maintaining the quality of life that draws us here. Ensuring balanced growth supported by the proper infrastructure improvements will be a cornerstone of my mission.
Quality of Life
I am committed to protect the things that make Santa Clarita a great place to work and raise a family. I will always work to ensure our environment is clean and suitable for our families. This means protecting our open-spaces and growing our parks and trail systems. I will also promote the advancement of after school programs, teen education programs and civic service programs.
